SEHRENE Showcased at ASME Turbo Expo
2024
SEHRENE took centre stage at the ASME Turbo Expo 2024, held from June 25-27 in London. The event, renowned for gathering global experts in the fields of energy and mechanical engineering, provided the perfect platform for SEHRENE to present its pioneering work in energy storage and decarbonization.
Marco Astolfi, representing Politecnico di Milano, delivered a compelling presentation on SEHRENE’s innovative Carnot battery concepts. These technologies utilize Organic Rankine Cycles (ORC) to seamlessly integrate renewable energy sources into District Heating and Cooling (DHC) networks. By leveraging the Carnot battery’s unique architecture, SEHRENE aims to enhance the efficiency of energy storage systems, supporting the transition to more sustainable and resilient energy infrastructures.
Astolfi’s presentation garnered significant attention from attendees, sparking discussions that underscored the importance of energy storage in achieving decarbonization goals. The focus of SEHRENE’s research aligned closely with the overarching themes of the Expo, particularly in the areas of sustainability and advancing technologies that will shape the future of clean energy.
The ASME Turbo Expo served as a vital platform for SEHRENE to share its vision and innovations with a global audience, further advancing the project’s mission to contribute to Europe’s climate neutrality targets.
